Copper Nickels mechanical properties allow them to be produced in a vast range of product forms and are readily fabricated even into the most complicated designs. The most commonly used Copper Nickel is 90/10 which in very simple terms is 90% Copper and 10% Nickel (other metals do form a small part of the mix). 90/10 Copper Nickel is most commonly notated as 90/10 CuNi.
It is relevant to note that most of the world's navies have decided to use 90/10 CuNi as a standard for piping in surface vessels due to the quality outcomes and long terms costs effectiveness achieved.
